COLT Rock Box
- The Rock Box is a half round design made of AR.400 1/4" plate. All
construction material inside the box is AR. 400 plate including front plate
and gate sheet.

 The
half round design advantages are less material sticking to side walls and
large rocks hitting at an angle glancing off instead of striking square into
the surface.

- Our gate has self storing spread
chain pockets which eliminates chain rattle, paint chipping and improved
appearance.
- Hi-lift tail gate has the largest
opening in the industry. Hi-lift gate arms are a inverted "U" shape design,
giving exceptional stability and gives a smooth self shedding surface. All
gate hinges have replaceable nylon bushings which means no grease, less
maintenance and less steel wear.
- Colt air gate latches brake over
center design are easily the strongest on the market.
- Uniquely designed fenders provide
cushion from loader bumping, eliminates weld cracks, and makes it easy to
replace if ruined.
- Self shedding top rail - no
cleaning before entering roadways.
- Advantages of the inverted
trunnion mount hoist are little or no "dog house", sand and gravel fall away
from the seals, easy access to lubricating pins, bleeding the air valve and
removal of hoist if maintenance is needed.
- Colt uses wheel abraded AR.
plates in the construction, which insures the paint adheres to the bear steel
instead of to the "mill scale". Mill scale flakes off along with any paint.
- All COLT dump bodies are built
with the air valves and cylinders inside the rear bulkhead to keep them out of
the mud and ice. Access is easy to the air valves, cylinders, and wiring
threw inspection doors.
- We use TRUCK-LITE brand lights.
- The main hydraulic cylinders used
is a CUSTOM brand hoist.
- The primer and paint we use is
the top of the line Sherwin Williams epoxy primer and Genesis top coat.
